It is with great honor and privilege that ARS presents Howard Building Corporation with the 2008 Power of Partnership award for their innovative leadership, commitment to strengthening the community and especially for the significant contribution they made to support the mission Asian Rehabilitation Services.

ARS received a $15,000 grant from the Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF) to renovate the four client restrooms. After reviewing the scope of work, Nhan Nguyen from HBC stated typically the $15,000 would cover the costs of one restroom but that he would discuss the agency's situation with HBC. Amazingly, HBC along with the cooperation of all their contractors and vendors was able to complete all four restrooms within our budgeted amount.

A few months later, Mr. Nguyen called ARS to inform ARS that HBC decided to donate $15,000 to the agency.

"HBC's website states their goal is to clearly understand the commercial space needs of their clients and build your dreams," stated Doreen Wong, Chief Executive Officer for Asian Rehabilitation Service. "They definitely made our dreams come true.
