Asian Rehabilitation Service
Asian Rehabilitation Service (ARS) is proud to host the 7th Annual Ha Ha Hollywood Awards and Fundraising Gala. The Star Wars themed event will recognize the extraordinary contributions four corporations have made in support of persons with disabilities as well as celebrate the remarkable work of ARS.
Since 1972, the mission of ARS has remained the same "to provide vocational rehabilitation and other employment services by which individuals with disabilities can achieve their highest potential". Our clients have moderate to severe developmental disabilities; are monolingual speaking and come from low-income families. The income they earn in our program contributes to the overall sustainability of their entire family. Approximately 75% of the individuals we serve are of Asian heritage (34% Korean, 24% Chinese, 12% Filipino and 5% Vietnamese). To ensure the program meets the needs of the Greater Los Angeles Community, ARS provides services in eight (8) languages (English, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and French).
Please know that your involvement supports our mission and ensures employment opportunities; builds sustainable futures for our clients and their families; and most importantly gives a voice to individuals unable to advocate for themselves.
About
In 2008, Ha Ha Hollywood Mission "Is" Possible theme was a 250 capacity sell out three weeks prior to the event and with this year’s Star Wars "A New Hope" theme the event is sure to sell out again! As stated by President Barack Obama, "Hope is the bedrock of this nation; the belief that our destiny will not be written for us, but by us; by all those men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is; who have courage to remake the world as it should be."
Seating is limited and groups should consider purchasing at a corporate table sponsorship level to ensure your party is seated together.
